Izidora Angel is a Bulgarian-born memoirist, essayist and literary translator based in Chicago. Her writing has appeared in A Public SpaceAstra Magazine, Chicago Reader, Electric Literature, Gulf Coast and elsewhere, and has been anthologized in Best Literary Translations. Izidora’s work has been recognized by the National Endowment for the Arts, PEN/Heim, English PEN, ART OMI, the Elizabeth Kostova Foundation and Bread Loaf, among others.

Izidora’s award-winning translation of She Who Remains by Rene Karabash is now available from Sandorf Passage (US) and Peirene Press (UK). In support of the novel, Izidora will be on tour in the UK in March.
